The purpose of this program
The purpose of this program is to introduce students to the theory and practice of TEACHING DIGITAL ART AND COMPUTER GRAPHICS FOR KIDS AND TEENS with emphasis on Digital Art and Computer graphics.

This program is for everyone who loves children, loves Internet and Technology, Computers, Computer Graphics and all related areas and interesting in pedagogy. 

This program is also for people who dream about educational business and who want to open their own Computer School for kids, for example, and work with children as a Computer, Computer Graphics, and Digital art Educator.

Common Course Objectives

  • Students will use a variety of image-making software and image capturing tools to make artworks.
  • Students will use the formal elements and principles of two-dimensional design including line, shape, implied volume, light and shade, texture and color to make art projects through digital means.
  • Students will use the terminology needed to discuss various types, techniques, and concepts of digital art and put his vocabulary into a historical context.
  • Students will plan a path utilizing problem-solving steps, including stating initial intentions, defining and analyzing the problem and clarifying the main issues and evaluating the success of the work.
  • Students will use computers and computer peripherals such as printers, scanners, and digital cameras. Learn their proper application and will maintain the cleanliness and order of the workspace.
  • Students will present their completed work in a professional manner.
  • Students will analyze the visual elements and principles of design employed within the visual arts throughout history.
  •  Students will differentiate among various media and techniques used by artists.
  • Students will analyze the motivation of individual artists and how art expresses important aspects of time and culture.

Payment method

Payment method can be selected during filling up your online registration form.

Students pay for courses before the start of each quarter. If your fees are not paid one week prior to the course start, you will have a hold placed on your account and therefore will not be able to continue the course.

Course projects and final course test

  After studying the materials of each course, such as articles, video tutorials, audio podcasts and successfully completing practical projects, each student must pass a theoretical multiple-choice test.

Students suppose to achieve a minimum of 65% to pass the course test.

The final diploma program exam

Students  have to take all 12 courses to get a Diploma.

The final diploma program exam is an open-book, multiple-choice test and a real project for real customer.

 You need to achieve a minimum of 65% on the final exam to pass the course.

 a Diploma Certificate of course completion will be mailed 4-6 weeks later.

All students are expected to work at a high level of independence, be self-motivated, respect peers and instructors, and participate in the opportunities that the Digital Art and Computer Graphics Education department of New Image College offer.

This online course is #1 of 6 Required Core courses  in our Diploma program.
Course Outline:
This Art History course explores the history of Western art up to the late 1800s while focusing on key periods and styles. Develop an aesthetic appreciation and understanding of art and artifacts through lectures, slides, videos, and hands-on projects. This history of art course also looks at how (at various times) creativity and cultural imagination has been altered or influenced by social and spiritual circumstance.

Course 2. Foundation of color. Color Theory

This online course is #2 of 6 Required Core courses in our Diploma program.
Course Outline:
The properties of colors and how they behave within color systems will be explored in both theory and assessments and exercise practices.
Color systems from real life, fine arts, and design sources will be researched, analyzed and used for course assessments.

Course 3. Composition in Visual Art

This online course is #1 of 10 in our Diploma program.
Course Outline:
Emphasis of course activity will be to enable the student to use the design process and language to reference the principles and elements of design in developing and analyzing samples of two-dimensional compositions.
A series of exercises and a project with two-dimensional elements will be completed by students.

They use color theory. Color theory is a practical combination of art and science that’s used to determine what colors look good together. The color wheel was invented in 1666 by Isaac Newton, who mapped the color spectrum into a circle. The color wheel is the basis of color theory because it shows the relationship between colors.
In this module, students will learn about the color wheel, color theory, and how to use it for Web Design!

Our Principles of Design course teaches you design principles and fundamental page layout techniques. Hands-on assignments do not use a computer but do help you enhance your visual exploration and critical thinking skills. This design course provides the foundation from which you can develop effective problem-solving skills.
Course 6. Adobe Photoshop.

This online course is #6 of 6 in our Diploma program.
Course Outline:

Course 7. Adobe Illustrator.

This online course is #7 of 12 in our Diploma program.
Course Outline:

Build a working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, the graphic designer’s vector program of choice. You’ll explore selection tools, drawing tools, layers, the pen tool, transformations and distortions, type tools, and modifying paths and shapes. Tapping into the power of vector software allows you to produce detailed and scalable art for almost any application.

Course 8. Intro to Drawing.

This online course is #8 of 12 in our Diploma program.
Course Outline:

Learn basic drawing techniques and how to see and think about form and space. You’ll get a better understanding of visual forms and representing those forms on paper. Course projects involve sketches of contours, negative space, and simple and complex forms.

Course 9. Adobe Illustrator Advanced.

This online course is #9 of 12 in our Diploma program.

Illustrator Advanced
