Principles and conditions of distance learning at New Image Fashion Design School

1. Having received access to student section of Fashion Design Schooll website a student familiarizes himself with theoretical part of the lesson, studies the illustrated materials and reads additional materials from the Internet using the list of links provided.
2. A student must start studying no later than 2 weeks from the day he received login credentials to the student section of the site. The day we receive the first completed assignment from the student is considered the day the student started the program.
3. In the end of every month students will receive an invoice for the subsequent month in the mail.
4. Those paying for the whole semester receive a 10% discount, which is a $100 in savings.
5. After studying the theoretical material students proceed to the assignments. To complete the assignments you must follow the step-by-step instructions and guidelines provided.
6. If anything is not completely clear and understood students can (and should) send their questions to the teacher using email or messenger.
7. In two weeks time a student must be able to complete 2 lessons, 2 practical assignments and take 2 tests. The tests are multiple choice and based entirely on the theoretical material of the lessons. Those who studied the theory and Internet resources carefully should have no problems passing the tests successfully.
Tests and practical assignments are scheduled twice a month to control and evaluate student’s progress. Test examples can be found here. Assignments that require drawing by hand must either be scanned and sent to New Image College by email attachment or sent by regular mail.
8. Having submitted an assignment the student can start working on the next lesson’s assignment.
9. The submitted assignments and tests are marked within 5 days from the submission date. The teacher will also provide the student with a review of the completed assignment or test. In case of mistakes, errors, or unsatisfactory quality the work might need to be re-done and re-submitted.
10. There is a final test and a final project in the end of every semester (a semester consists of 4 months). The mark for the final test/assignment must be 75% minimum for the student to successfully transfer to the next semester.
11. Every 2 months there are additional complementary seminars on subjects from the curriculum held at the main office of Fashion Design School in Toronto. Each seminar is a week long. Attendance is advised but not required. The seminars are billed separately.
Students who wish to attend need to register at least 6 weeks in advance. All information about the seminars, dates and the schedule will be posted on Teens Computer School website at least 8 weeks in advance.
